Overall considering the numbers of our Southern Region team were down on previous years we performed extremely well, coming away with 7 State Titles.

Also I would like to congratulate the following players for their outstanding success in both achieving dual titles:

Sam Fife for winning the 19 & 17 titles, well done Sam.
Rheanne Niebling for winning the 23 & 19 titles and also for being named captain of the Queensland Team.

Also I would like to applaud Grace McErvale for twice winning against Tiffany Loss, especially the second match where she showed great determination and courage to play when her feet were causing her much pain.

I would like to also congratulate Challen Stowell for winning the Eagle Award. Throughout the tournament Challen played consistently great squash and truly deserved this win. Well done Challen.

Lastly, to all the members of our team, thank you all for your commitment and efforts throughout the year and at the tournament. I hope you all had a good time and for those who have never travelled with our team before, I hope that this experience has encouraged you to continue developing your squash and hope I see you all in the near future.

I look forward to seeing all Southern players at the Australian Titles in September and wish them all good luck.
